都市と青年をテーマに制作を続けるアーティスト GILLOCHINDOX☆GILLOCHINDAE によるアートプロジェクト「獸（第3章 / EDGE）」を、アートフェア "EASTEAST_TOKYO 2025" に合わせて、同会場内（東京・北の丸公園内の科学技術館駐車場）にて開催いたします。会期は2025年11月7日（金）から11月10日（月）までの4日間です。 7年にわたり展開する「獸」シリーズは、黒い獸を主人公に "都市と人間の境界" を描く長編プロジェクトです。本展はその第4回目にあたり、シリーズ最大規模のインスタレーションとして展開されます。 舞台となるのは、アーティスト自身が少年時代を過ごした多摩川の河川敷。金色に揺れるススキ、風にきらめく水面、午後の光に包まれた郊外の記憶──。会場には、約6万本のススキと全長15メートルの人工の土手による壮大なインスタレーション空間が出現します。 サブタイトル「EDGE」は、生と死、現実と幻想、都市と自然──あらゆる境界（エッジ）に立つ人間の姿を示しています。GILLOCHINDOX☆GILLOCHINDAEは、未成熟な衝動と都市に刻まれた "裂け目" を通して、人間存在の根源に迫ります。 会場では、映像作家・太郎による映画的手法を用いた映像作品の上映や、様々なアーティストによる連続的なパフォーマンスなど、ジャンルを越境する表現が展開されます。 「獸」は、郊外に生きる青年たちの "記憶と衝動" を、現代の都市神話として体験する試みです。風景の〈裂け目〉から、新しい物語が立ち上がります。 CON_ presents "JYU (Chapter 3 / EDGE)", an art project by GILLOCHINDOX☆GILLOCHINDAE, an artist whose practice continues to take the city and its youth as its themes. Held in conjunction with the art fair "EASTEAST_TOKYO 2025," the project takes place within the same venue (the Science Museum parking lot in Kitanomaru Park, Tokyo), running for four days from November 7 (Fri) to November 10 (Mon), 2025. Unfolding over seven years, the "JYU" series is a long-form project that traces the "boundary between city and human" through its protagonist, a black beast. This exhibition marks its fourth iteration, staged as the largest-scale installation in the series to date. The setting is the riverbank of the Tama River, where the artist spent their boyhood. Golden pampas grass swaying, water glinting in the wind, the memory of a suburb wrapped in afternoon light──. The venue gives rise to a vast installation space built from roughly sixty thousand stalks of pampas grass and a fifteen-meter artificial embankment. The subtitle "EDGE" points to the figure of the human standing at every boundary──between life and death, reality and illusion, city and nature. Through immature impulse and the "fissures" etched into the city, GILLOCHINDOX☆GILLOCHINDAE approaches the very root of human existence. The venue hosts genre-crossing expression: screenings of video work by filmmaker Taro using cinematic techniques, alongside a continuous succession of performances by various artists. "JYU" is an attempt to experience the "memory and impulse" of young people living on the urban periphery as a contemporary city myth. GILLOCHINDOX☆GILLOCHINDAE GILLOCHINDOX☆GILLOCHINDAEは1999年東京都に生まれ、漫画、映画などのサブカルチャーに触れ育つ。都市と青年を題材にコンセプチュアルで物語的な表現を行なっている。現代美術の展覧会とライブを組み合わせて、7年間にわたり物語が展開されていく長編プロジェクト「獸」を開催している。また、日本橋馬喰町にあるギャラリー「CON_」のキュレーションなども行う。 Born in Tokyo in 1999, GILLOCHINDOX☆GILLOCHINDAE grew up immersed in subcultures such as manga and film. Working with the city and its youth as subject matter, the artist makes conceptual, narrative-driven work. Combining contemporary art exhibitions with live performance, they stage "JYU," a long-form project whose story unfolds over seven years.
