極薄inframince

極薄。この言葉から想起するのは、まずコンドームだろう。エロティックでありながら、どこか安っぽい質感。

──マルセル・デュシャンの造語「inframince」（アンフラマンス）は、「極薄」や「超薄」と訳される。椅子から立ってすぐのぬくもり、ズボンの両脚がこすれる音、タバコの煙と吐き出される煙の匂い。分離と結合の境に見い出される、認知限界すれすれの世界。

「極薄inframince」は、それぞれ都市や既製品、遊戯をモチーフに作品を制作するGILLOCHINDOX☆GILLOCHINDAE、Youfire、山本和真の3人が、極薄の美学を探求する。

Ultra-thin inframince (極薄inframince)

What’s your initial thoughts when you hear the word ultra-thin(極薄)? In Japan, most would imagine Okamoto condoms - cheap texture with some erotic sense.

── ”inframince” is a word coined by Marcel Duchamp, which is translated as Ultra-thin(極薄) in Japanese.

The word expresses a worldview that is on the edge of human cognitive limit, found on the border between separation and union.

One could recognize such view in daily life - the left-warmth from your chair as soon as you get up, the sound of your pant legs rubbing together for a moment, and the smell of cigarette smoke and exhaled fumes.

At the exhibition, GILLOCHINDOX☆GILLOCHINDAE, Youfire, and Kazuma Yamamoto will pursue the aesthetics of Ultra-thin(極薄) by showing their created works that referred the city, ready-made products and playfulness as motifs.
