Fantasy in the Unexpected at WWNN

この度、CON_は韓国・ソウルのWWNNにてキュレーション展「Fantasy in the Unexpected」を2025年9月4日（木）から2025年9月27日（日）まで開催いたします。
CON_ is pleased to present Fantasy in the Unexpected, a curated exhibition to be held at WWNN in Seoul, Korea, from September 4th (Thursday) to September 27th (Saturday), 2025.

Fantasy in the Unexpected

予期しない出会いは、いつも不安定な構造の上にある。

横手太紀は、都市や身の回りの物に刻まれた時間の層を彫刻的に再編成し、見落とされた物語や、その存在自身の持つ神秘性を浮かび上がらせる。
BIENは、日常のなかで生まれる偶然の気づきを拾い上げ、即興的に応答する。その繰り返しは、観測と実験を重ねる練習のように積み上がり、世界の断片を紡ぐ。 崩れかけの均衡を保つ。
ハンナ・アントンソンは、誰かと出会い直す感覚を呼び起こす。
小松千倫の音は空間を漂い、聴覚的な記憶を呼び覚ましながら場の感覚を更新していく。

思いを馳せることのできない時間、観測のなかで立ち上がる動き、不確実さを再認識すること、それらは日々の発見の堆積として再び未決定のプロセスに戻り、想像力によって現実へと変換される。 都市と野生、物質と音、痕跡と物語——矛盾する軸が一瞬、魔法のように並び立つ。

Fantasy in the Unexpected。都市の中に現れた一時的な接触点で、偶然と想像が交差する瞬間を手繰り寄せる。

Unexpected encounters are always built upon unstable structures.

Taiki Yokote reconstructs the layers of time etched into cities and everyday objects, sculpting them anew to reveal overlooked stories and the quiet mystery inherent in their presence. BIEN picks up on the chance sparks of awareness born in daily life, responding with improvisation. Layer by layer, like the practice of observation and experimentation, these responses weave fragments of the world together. Hanna Antonsson preserves fragile balance on the verge of collapse, evoking the sensation of meeting someone all over again. Kazumichi Komatsu’s sounds drift through space, awakening auditory memories and renewing our sense of place.

Moments we cannot fully grasp, movements emerging through observation, the reawakening of uncertainty—these accumulate as the sediment of daily discoveries, returning again to an unresolved process, only to be transformed into reality through imagination. City and wilderness, matter and sound, traces and stories—contradictory axes stand side by side, for an instant, as if by magic.

Fantasy in the Unexpected. At these fleeting points of contact that surface within the city, we draw closer to the moments where chance meets imagination.

横手 太紀 | Taiki Yokote @ykttik

 1998年生まれ。神奈川県逗子市出身。身の回りに存在する気に留められることの少ない物や、そのネガティブな性質に着目し、彫刻的にアプローチする。動きをもたせた彫刻やインスタレーション、映像、写真といった表現を用いて制作している。作品を通じて物のもつ「野性的な側面」を浮き上がらせ、そこに潜む見えない物語を予感させる。
Born in 1998 in Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture.Yokote focuses on often unnoticed objects in his surroundings and their negative qualities, approaching them sculpturally. He creates sculptures with movement, installations, videos, and photographs. Through his works, he aims to reveal the "wild aspects" of objects, evoking the hidden stories that lie within them.

1993年生まれ。アニメーションに影響を受けた独自のドローイング表現を中心に、映像、彫刻、インストラクション、インスタレーションなどのメディアを横断し作品を制作する。それらは我々が作り出したイメージやフィクションという幻影と、不変的な物質によって成り立つこの世界を紐解く試みである。

BIEN (b.1993) is a Tokyo-based artist. Using abstract line drawing influenced by animation and street culture as a prime means of expression, he works across multiple media such as paintings, videos, sculptures, instructions and installations. Through his works, the artist attempts to unravel the world full of immutable materials and illusions we have created; images and fictions.

Hanna Antonsson @h.antonsson

ハンナ・アントンソン（1991年生まれ）は、スウェーデンのヨーテボリにて制作をおこなう。HDK-Valand 美術写真専攻卒業。

彼女は、鳥の剥製を主に用いてキネティックな彫刻と写真を制作している。動物と機械、硬いものと柔らかいもの、有機的なものと工業的なもの、さらには生きているものと死んでいるものの間の出会いと対比に興味を持ち、さまざまな種類の彫刻と写真のハイブリッドで表現している。

Hanna Antonsson (b.1991) lives and works in Gothenburg, Sweden and has a degree in Fine Art Photography from HDK-Valand. She uses kinetic sculpture and photography with bird taxidermy as the primary method. The encounter and contrast between animal and machine, hard and soft, organic and industrial, even living and dead, interest her and are expressed in various types of sculptural and photographic hybrids.

小松千倫 | Kazumichi Komatsu @komatsukazumichi

1992年高知県生まれ。京都市在住。音楽家、美術家、DJ。angoisse (バルセロナ)、BUS editions (ロンドン)、flau (東京)、Manila Institute (ニューヨーク)、psalmus diuersae (サンフランシスコ)、REST NOW! (ミラノ)等、様々なレーベルやパブリッシャーより複数の名義で膨大な数の音源をリリースしている。音や光といった振動/波を主な素材と看做し、情報伝達や保存プロセスの物質的・心理的距離を懐古や恐怖等の経験として扱う作品制作・研究を行う。

Composer, artist, and DJ. Kazumichi has released a vast number of sound recordings under several names from various labels and publishers. Using vibrations such as sound and light as his main materials, he creates works and conducts research that treats the physical and psychological distance of processes in the transmission and storage of information as an experience of nostalgia and eerie.
